Has anybody used Nitlon DFC as leader, I have picked some up in 4lb and 7lb and am going to give it a try. On comments on this product?

They're not too bad... Probably the Yamatoyo is the best brand you can get in Oz tho... a little bit more expensive, the super harris fighter.

The top avail that I've used is the Sunline Tournament Fluoro and Toray Bawo Fluoro (both are not available in Oz). They're more supple and have better abrasion resistance.

A lot of my fishing partners and i have been using the Nitlon for quite some time now. It hasnt failed us yet!
I personally use the 4lb a hell of a lot. It can withstand a huge amount of punishment for such a low poundage line. I rate the stuff very highly!

I've gone through a spool of the 6lbs stuff. Gets the thumbs up from me. I'm using Yamatoyo now just for comparison. Honestly except for the Yamatoyo being a little thinner for the same breaking strain I haven't noticed any difference. Actually the Yamatoyo has had a handful of bustoffs I wouldn't have expected on Nitlon but I'm writing that off to coincidence at the moment.

I've got some 5lb, which seeems OK - It's a bit less supple than the yama, but seems alright. I've landed some solid tarwhine + skippy on it and abrasion resistance around pylons was excellent

Thumbs down

Hi Guys

I have a spool of 7lb Nitlon DFC and won't be buying another. It's ok but not worth the extra $ compared to Vanish as it's abrasion resistance is no better than 6lb Berkley Vanish. I use a lot of 6lb Vanish leaders yet the 7lb Niton was feathering quicker after dragging lures through rocks.
