remember leebo flathead have a pretty big mouth when they open them. Have had flathead pretty much fully swallow my hard bodies and if they do they have got pretty sharp teeth so it is possible they could munch on it. I usually use 8lb vanish and never seem to have a problem. I did catch and land a big 40cm+ flatty on friday night and it swallowed my lure and as i was getting my lure back it cut my line. But have never been biten of by a flatty. Always good to check your leader after ever hit or successfull landing of a fish cos they get dragged along many things while the fish is trying to un hook itself

no worries mate, you shouldn't be worried about scarying any bream of mate. specially usually vanish being that it's a flurocarbon. I've heard of people using 10lb leader depending on what structure there fishing to pull out some massive bream. I use 8lb on river all the time either for bream or flatties. You'll be right if ya wanna kno a good spot for flatties try around the mt henry area.

snapbacks, berkleyfish things forgot there name 3 inch minnows i think. Mainly them anyways. I fish right around the bridge works mate. Usually late after noon and into the night. Usually right under bridge cos theres a bit of light around Or even the banks heading leach hwy side. Bridge works havent really seem to of a fected it to much if any thing the fishings got better cos all the river floors getting stirred up so lots of food around for all the hungry fishys. Thinking of heading out this thursday after work mate if ya interested. Probably bout 6ish till late. pm if ya interested in the week
