finally....my first breamski boat

finally! well i jumped the gun a lil bit and brought a 11ft stacer, with trailer, safty gear and eagle sounder for 850 buck aroonies! its all ready had the middle seat taken out so a nice middle deck will be good., plans for it so far:
*get some new tyres so i can actually tow it bak!
*ripp off ghey tie down on side
*fix up all the recent owners f**k ups
*strip off triler and make new teflon slides and replce wiring, and a new coat of black paint.
* put my neighbours (3000)psi high pressure hose to good use and blast off that crap paint, its all chippen off and there is yellow, black and green paint over it, i guess the mornon couldn't make up his mind.
*either just paint it grey or black or get a nice breamor cod air brushed up the side.
family friend gave me two sheets of ply that are big enough for forward and rear casting decks, so only have top source ply for middle deck,
*marine carpet
*nav lights
*replace the flares that expiried 10 years ago!
*wire up sounder
*get me a minn kota
*get me a 20hp or 15 hp for the back
*get the baby regoed

i am sure there will plenty of things that will stuff up along the way so a bit of advice every now and again might be needed
no pics yet as it is still at rye but as soon as its home the pics wioll be up......plz don't scream when u see it tho, shes one ugly boat and trailer but whens shes finished.......
cheers greg

did you see if they reinforced the boat after taking out the seat? Just check to see if it has comprimised the boat in anyway.

oh sh*T almost forgot, the sounder that same with the boat is a eagle fish ID2, i can't seem to work out it properly or wether it needs to be callibrated because it was tellin me before the 3ft deep pond out the back was 4 metres deep so something isn't quite right if anybody used to own one and could shed some light for me that would be great

The only time my sounder gives exaggerated depth readings is if the transducer isnt level with the ocean floor. This might be the problem.

My sounder doesn't give me a reading while stationary in the drive way. It just flashes 0.5 ft (actual depth closer to 2.5 ft) Works while stationary on the water but not in the drive way.

I dont even know if this makes a difference but i'm assuming there was water in the pond

Good god, youve got some work ahead of you.

I reckon first thing would be removing all the paint and getting it looking like new before playing with floors and other stuff. Get yourself some wet and dry abrasive paper, paint scrapers and paint remover and go nuts.

It will take you a few months to get this baby going but i reckon youve got a good little project boat to work on so take your time, do it right and make it how you want it to be made.

Enjoy and keep us posted

thanks brad, i know the paint is gay, but a brought a litre of paint stripper today and gunna blast that paint right off, gunna do the trialer first tho, all that needs doin is paint the rims, repack bearings, wire new lights, ripp off crap slides and also usless stuff on trailer, reenforce guards so i can stand on them, sand the whoole trialer black and give it a fresh paint of black, and then i will have something that i can put my pride and joy on, still havn't decided what colour to paint the beast but that will come down the track
