i own a 2004 and its a lovely reel. 1003 feels to small to me imo.

you need to think about what you will be using the outfit for
Ask yourself a few questions-: will you be using using it land based or boat based? what will you be using the reel for ? Do you need lots of drag? what line class rod will it be going on ? these are a few questions i can think of now |

2506,
better line lay, bigger loops coming off the reel= more managable retrieves more line per crank meaning, turning breams heads from structure... Have owned just about every reasonable daiwa ever made and no doubt the 2506 and 2508 reels are the one... IMHO Cheers |
