Fresh learner from Melbourne

Hey everyone,

Thought I'd throw up a post and say g'day. I've been on the forum for a month or two now learning heaps.

Started getting into fishing and I'm the new 'apprentice' of Breamingwithjoy. I've only breamed at Docklands so far, started on bait and now getting into lures. Haven't caught a Bream on lure yet, only a few Redfin down at Moorabbin. Great fun!

Got a small selection of lures now including Strike Pro Micro Vibes, R2S Baby Vibes, Atomic Hardz, and some other random ones. No SP's at this stage.

Got a new rod, nothing super-fantastic but something to start me off. It's a 6'6 1-2kg Mojiko tournament. Reel is a cheapo from a previous rod&reel combo from Kmart lol Have it spooled with some fairly light 6lb braid which needs to be retired (stolen from Ross' old gear).

Anyway, rambled on enough! Look forward to meeting new people, will see you out at the Docks most likely!

TIMMAH! finally got off your ar$e and posted. Good lad. The trick with catching fish is that you need to go fishing

Poor effort over the weekend, too tired pfft 2 hours sleep is all you need to catch fish. Will be down at the docks this Thursday if you can muster the strength. Still need to get you off that Bream donut.

Thursday is sounding good at this stage. Will give you a call closer to the time (most likely on Thursday lol)

Need to try out the new Micro Vibes! And learn how to use them...

Will be taking the flying scotsman with me and it looks like it might be a fairly short session but the more the merrier.

Welcome mate..
There's no complicated science in using the micro vibe in the docks.. If you can use tea bags, you'll be alrite.

Haha lovely! Tea is good, in a completely straight way of course. But with a lovely scone it's divine. Ok getting carried away.

So you joining us on Thursday evening to show how well you can teabag!

Have to pick up cousin Pete from the city and drop off brother-in-law Rob along the way but should be there around 6:30pm. Not going to be a long session by any stretch.

BTW cleaned out another tackle store of the JU005's not hard when they only have 1 though.

Not exactly what I wanted to hear Felix.... RT come along if you can, I will be getting there around the 6:30 mark but that is a moving target and will depend on traffic.

Sent the Flying Scotsman to fish the yarra today while at work gave him some sx40's, tt's and micro and instructions that if/when they don't work find a chicken breast or some maccas chips and go to town.

RT: Only one way to find out mate. tie it on and see. If you know the Whitecaps area of the docks that is usually the place we meet. never end up fishing there but an easy place for you to find (hopefully)

Sav. Good to hear you are coming down mate, send me a PM when you know when you will be in town and I am sure I can sort something out. Even if I can't get down myself I am sure one of the boys will be free. Or at the very least we can put you onto some spots with fish.
