Custom Rods

Hi
I'm thinking of getting a custom bream rod built, I'm wondering if you could tell me who are some good rod builders in victoria?
Cheers, Dylan.

Thanks Ruski, I'll look into them.
Are there any Builders where I can get a rod made exactly how I want? eg. handle layout, grip types, colour schemes, guides etc.

Yep Millerods will do that. If you give them a call and tell them what you want chances are they will accomodate your requests. Don't think that they just do what is on the website, they are a custom builder so it is only really limited by your budget and imagination.

Cheers, Dror

Duff Kustom Fishing Tools

What about Duff Kustom Fishing Tools mate. Steve "The Duffman" of AFC fame has his very own workshop in Melbourne. I know he can build whatever type of rod you wish he is very easy to deal wit and will have your rod ready for you 3 weeks from time of confirmed order.

Millerrods are based out of Uladulla NSW.

Have a look at Steve's website www.kustomfishingtools.com.au

Very classy stuff and built on awesome blanks.

Nick

Thanks mate,
Does anyone have any better/closer pics of the Duffrods, because the pics on the site are pretty dodgy.
Cheers, Dylan.

Duff Rods

G'day mate this is the only pic I have of my rods.

Steve builds his rods on his own blanks that he has built to his own specifications.

They come in 4 models as listed; 6'10" 1-4kg, 6'10" 1-5kg, 7' 1-4kg and a 7'6" 1-4kg.

Steve can build any grip you wish on any of these blanks. He also offers a very quick turn around service. 3 weeks from the time you place an order. I know of other big name builders that have already been mentioned that will keep you waiting months.

If you have any questions feel free to PM me or ring Steve direct as he is very easy to deal with.

Duff Rods

His site hasn't been updated to show the new 7'6" but trust me they exist. I had some part in the existance of these rods as I asked Steve to build me one. Now I have two, awesome and very crisp yet have a light tip for the flats work. I currently have one fishing 4lb Sniper straight through on recoils with TiSic guides at each end an have no complaints.

Depending what you ask him to build depend on the price. The rods in my pics are all built with TiSic stripper and TiSic tip tops with recoils for the rest and with the reel seat configuration shown they would retail some where in the $400 - $450 range. The 7'6" that I have are built to the same specs and are a two piece rod and they reatail for around the $520 mark.

I will second the build quality of Duff Rods.

They are awsome rods and I have a few of them now.

Well priced rods that are a pleasure to use and subdue all fish i have targeted with them.

I have used mine on bream, impoundment barra and saratoga and never once have I felt under gunned.

Great craftmanship and if you live in Melbourne then get in contact with Steve as you are in the same state.

The 7'6 is an awsome topwater rod and or distance casting rod for lighter lures.

Steve is a great guy to deal with and the service when dealing direct with Steve was a main factor in why I now use Duff Rods.

Cheers

Lee
