Oops

I just destroyed the pinion gear and associated bearing and the pin on the spool in a day old TD-sol (I bought two the other day and sold one) when I tried to cast it without the clutch disengaged o.O oops.
anyway it's now on it's way to daiwa. anyway the point of this is have you ever done something to a piece of tackle that made you say whoops or worse?

Mate was checking the drag on one of my rods and *Snap* the tip comes off, I'll never let any of my mates do this again! It was only a cheap rod but still a rod,

Thanks BrissyBreamer

when i was up in the murray fishing with my dad's calcutta reel, decided it was time to go to bed so i wound in the bait and left in on the bamk with the rod sitting in the boat, woke up haring the rod banging in the boat, when i got there the rod was gone along with the calcutta. needless to say dad wasnt happy. we think it was a turtle as we had been catching a few of them.
so trying to save enough money to get him a good chrissy present haha

Ha!....Numerous Times:

The time I sunk my boat by leaving it tied up the back of my house after launching it with out the bungs in - Definite Whoops!

The time a mate deployed the electric only to have the prop spin off....Whoops!

The time my mate went swimming on a hot day with my phone in his pocket - Whoops

Sitting at the ramp for over an hour, trying to get the motor to start only to realise the safety lanyard was off the motor....WHOOPS!

lol The list goes on...

I was fishing off a breakwall and put my rod on the ground while digging through my bag for a lure change ,the bloke next to me must of hooked up on the rod with his lure because the next thing i saw was my new rod go sailing through the air into the drink.
cheers nereus
