Best Plastics for Trout?
Hey guys, im interested in using plastics for trout, mainly in lakes like lauriston, and occcasioanlly in rivers like the maribyrnong. I was wondering which plastics would be a good start. Ive heard squidgies are a good bet, but what do you guys suggest? Thanks alot guys!

well id go wrigglers mainly cause i like the extra action they impart, in rtelation to nymphs, have a look on eddystones website where he talks about cutting down 2 inch hawgs/ecogear bugants and turning them into a succesful trout bait, interesting reading.

Ive had most success using 2 '' atomic fat grubs in pumpkinseed and motoroil colours. They also get a good coating of halco catch scent in the freshwater formula and i find this really gets them biting. But best results by far are when you attach your favourite plastic to a small gold coloured betts spin arm and retrieve using a constant slow roll!

The 1" are ok but i find them VERY soft.
If you cut the 2" right down they are pretty small. eddy |
