Top 5 Bream lures???????

Hi Guys

I have been thinking about getting into breaming with lures as been using the sp's for ages now and want a little change.

If you could only choose 5 bream lures to use what would they be brand, size color etc. Look forward to your reponses.

Thanks

I'd have to say strikepro pygmies in the loud colours, SX-40s in any colour... I haven't tried the strikepro small fry but the pygmies are doing the job for me so why fix it if it ain't broke... However I have this sneaky suspicion that anyhting small that floats real slow and soesn't sink might do the job...

I decided when I first started that I would get 5 lures at the most to start with and the were all strikepros in the one bright colour... I've busted the piggy bank since then and gotten a few sx40s and another 2 colours of the pygmies.

Yup.. I so far caught only 1 that cracked the 40s so I'd hardly say my research is extensive enough to be conclusive... In grand total, I've landed LESS than 10 fish on hard bodies so really, I'm no expert!!

I've been getting lots of numbers but with no size with the hards. Must have caught over 30 since I started experimenting a month or two ago. Most are undersized or just legal.

Mmmm...I use them for all the bloody shallow water rock dwellers up here. Only had a decent bream come up and eyeball it once and had what looked like two decent fish hit it while missing completely...Other than that, no joy. Never caught a decent sized fish on them, then again, when I use them, it's mostly because I'm scraping the bottom of the slops bucket and just need some amusement.

Whaddya mean the diving ones? All sneaky scorps dive...You mean the suspenders? I've got a few of them but haven't really given them a shot on the bream considering the fact that the bream Ted and I fish for are rarely at the same elevation as we are. The reason being that we're standing on top of a walkway and they're in the water about 3m underneath us, hence divers are really inefficient to use. I have however had them come out to ogle a 3cm popper I'd made. Didn't actually hit it, but they followed it all the way out from underneath. I've also caught one on a crab jig from there and lost a half decent one on a culprit swimfin grub. Still, that's not really the point.
