Unhappy Catch Rate OF Zero! Can anyone help??

Hey guys,
Me and Luke-H went down to the maribyrnong after school today just with out spinnin gear, from 1.00pm to 5.30. Using both sp and hb, we didnt hardly get a touch. I really dont know what we are doin wrong. We use the teqniques and lures that you guys use, we are gettin really frustrated. Is either sp or hb easier for begginers to catch a few? What would you guys suggest? What can we do? Thanks alot, we are goin to try again on the weekend, around anglers tavern. Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Nathan

Did you move around much? I find that with lure fishing, it's best to hunt fish down, as opposed to flogging a piece of water and hoping a fish swims by. Move around and look for your fish/structure that could hold fish. That, and inevitably, you will blank, especially when you're first starting out. Catching a bream on lure isn't horribly easy, it's probably the main reason why many of us spend obscene amounts of time on this hobby.

You'll figure 'em out eventually.
