Gene Larew Salt Impregnated 2" Crappie Spiders

Anyone tried these?

I'm slowly working out another order and I really like the look of them
What colours have you tried?

Thanks

They do the trick

Chartreuse Pepper, Pumpkinseed, Watermelon Pepper and Green Pumpkin have all had a run with me, and the Watermelon Pepper and Pumpkinseed have been the best of them.

They have a nice slow fall rate through the water, and you can also cut them in half, using one end as a single tail grub, and the other as a 'Squid' imitation

They work very well, great action in the water, this morning I picked up a baby pink snapper at Blackwell Reach on a Pink Crappie Spider (something different ) Always have some of those in the box.

cheers

I fished with Kevin Gleed down at the Clyde and he was using a 'home made' surface plastic that vibrated and hummed across the surface. The closest I could get to it was a Gold Crappie Spider fished on a 1/48oz head and retrieved across the surface. It was actually quite passable as a surface plastic with its frilly head and light tail. Had quite a few Bream come up and swirl behind it, no hookups though unfortunately.

Cheers
Matt

Are the crappie spiders in the online store 1.5" or 2"???

It says 2" on the online store page, but 1.5" once you click on the link and see the whole Gene larew range.
Cheers,

Lizardboy
