Fishing Deep water

Hi All

Can anyone please give me a sugestion for what they would use to fish water that is about 4.5 meters deep. I found a spot in the boat on saturday morning that was holding alot of bait fish but i couldnt get a softy down there because of the amount of blowies around. So i need a hard to do the job.

Cheers
Rusty

Maybe try a Carolina Rig with a heavy sinker to jazz the SP down to the fish.

HB's that have no bib and sink, I have one but can not remember it's name.

Metal slice.

Heavier jig head for your SP's.

If pickers are a problem, try a lipless HB instead. Or even a metal...

lipless

Hi Rusty

Jarrad has had some success with the R2S Baby Vib 35 lipless cranks on some good bream in deep holes lately, they come in a great range of colours.

Tilsan Bass hard bodies go to 5 or so metres i think.

Try jigging with twisties or slices, or with a lipless crankbait like the baby vibes. Im going to try them soon but they look really promising

try gluing a lead strip to the bottom of your HB, we do it in freshwater when fishing over 10 metre holes or deeper.

Bream Addict

I got my R2S baby vib 35s at the BM store, although I haven't checked the on-line catalogue to see if they are listed.

As you are from the tother-side of OZ, check out the "got-one" tackle chain. I know they stock them.

Lightbulb fishing deep water

hey man why not try a rapala countdown in 3cm or 5cm in brown or rainbow trout pattern, they cast beautifully and sink at a controlled rate hence the name! Bream love to attack small lures so i reckon the 3cm is the go!
