Ecogear sx-48

Any opinions on this lure and how it compares to the sx-40? Does it cast further and dive deeper than the sx-40? Looking for something to probe slightly deeper water.

It's a good lure, although doesn't seem quite as tasty to bream as the SX40.
The 48 dives slightly deeper, I use it on the racks at high tide when a 40 doesn't quite get down far enough. My only critiscism of the 48 is that it need a quicker retrieve to impart the same action as the SX40.

The SX-48 is a great night time lure on the flats and over shallow reef (havnt tryed it anywhere else). It works just as good through the day but is better suited to really aggressive Bream and murky water.
The little Bream arnt afraid of these beauties either.

As Swoffa said they dive a little deeper and have a bigger roll.

cheers, Nathan

I have had quite a bit of success on these lures. They are at their best in low light or dirty water. The slow retrieve does work well ( hey Nath ). The rattle is almost sonic . Just sweep the rod tip feeling for when the lure starts to tweek throught the rod and line.

Thanks guys. Have any of you used the Owner Mirashad too. They look similar and I've been told they are cheaper and have a tighter shimmy.

I have tried the MiraShad in all the colours, and caught a few fish on them, but I'm still not a big fan of them. I think it's just a confidence thing, but I always do a lot better on Ecogears.
Also, the Owner is a suspending lure, I personally prefer something more bouyant.
