Fightin Whting on plastics

I posted a few weeks ago asking how to cath whiting on plastics. Thanks for the replies but nothing really helped.
On Sunday fishing a mudflat falling into a weedbed I was catching some nice bream and some small flatties when whoompa! 3 whiting 38-40cm. Not to mention 3 completely devastated plastics which the fish got the better of. The plastics were pumkinseed 2" grubs from Berkley. For some reason their smell outfished the various other pumpkin grubs (atomics, breammaster) my fellow fisher and I had used that afternoon. Crazy daze.

Those berkley's are a top plastic. I have been using the 2 inch grub in smoke /red glitter & they are red hot on bream so I have heard are the pumpkinseeds I just got a pack but have not tried them yet. They do smell a little I fished whiting a bit with plastics & some days are like that they just go em hard & oothers they will just nudge them.
