GoldCoast Easter Bream Classic


The Goldcoast Sportfishing Club in association with Logan River Marine,Doug Burts Fishing Tackle and ABT is running a ‘Bream Classic’ on Easter Friday 25 March 2005
This one-day event is open to all-comers and will be teams based where two anglers can fish together and weigh in a total of 5 fish per team over the one day.

Rules for the ‘Bream Classic’ will be based on the current ABT Tournament rules. These rules can be downloaded from www.bream.com.au.

Entry Fees: $110.00 per team to be payable by cash or cheque at the briefing or prior to the start on Friday. No entry fee, no fishing

Briefing Venue: Doug Burts Fishing Tackle, Gold Coast Highway Thursday 24th March at 7.00pm sharp. (UBD map ref. 29E6) Refreshments and sausage sizzle will be available as will door prizes kindly donated by Doug Burts Fishing Tackle.


Start and Finish Venue: Boat ramp behind Southport Swimming Pool (UBD map ref. 29H10)


Weigh in : Will be a drive through style at the Fishing Club Rooms, at the nothern end of the Swimming Pool area, near the ramp.


Fishing Times: 7.00am - 2.00pm. Anglers must be present at the start venue by at least 6.30am on tournament day for scrutineering. Start sequence will be determined by order of entry


Fishing Area: South of the North Arm of the Coomera River only. Normal Goldcoast ABT tournament non-fishing areas apply.

Pre-fish ban: Due to the holiday weekend there will be NO pre-fish ban prior to the event.


Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top 5 teams
1st Prize: Johnson 3. 5hp outboard motor kindly donated by Logan River Marine
Big Bream prize : Donated by Doug Burts Fishing Tackle
2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th will be cash
Please note, the more teams that enter, the more prize money
