Battery

You will need a deep cycle battery approximately 100amp or more .
It is better to go Dry Cell or Gel Cell depending on budget dry cell are cheaper.
Brands like Delcor are pretty good but if the budget allows there are a new battery pout called ORBIT which are considerably lighter and allow themselves to be charged quicker.
The next thing is you will require a decent charger to charge it.
As previous post have recommended at least a charge rate of 10% of battery power .
e.g 100amp batter =10amp charger.

Hope this helps.

With the motorguide make sure u put some grease on the main shaft bearing, just undo the two grub screws and the bearing is exposed whack on the grease and bobs uour uncle. Also take off the plastic cover and put a bit of grease on the rack and pinion in there and it will be quiet and smooth. just remember when u put the cover back on to make sure the direction arrow is facing the right way. I have an 100 amp hour deep cycle battery and I get a full days fishing out of it (probably 2 but never tried) By the way great valentines day present, I was hoping for a bunch of gold laser pros but all i got was a box of chocolates

cheers scooter
