Triton are a sponsor of Tournaments here. They look alright. I reckon the 197 and the TR20X are alright as well.

The hulls are a little higher but they are not as wide as the glass Bass Boats. I was trying to post a photo of a glass bay boat called a Kenner that they sell here for like $16,000 US. Ot would make a wicked bream boat. I will try and find a photo if I can. Bass boat would be ok in your rivers and estuaries. The hull height would be tough if the waves are over 3feet.

I think I saw his post. His boat is what they call a flats skiff. Very light weight and has the ability to float in very skinny water. It does not have the sea legs that a bay boat has. Plus they Bay Boat has more storage for Sp and HP's and rods. They are very good for sneaking up on fish that are very shallow.

Which boat Bear? THe tinny is sort of a flat bow but more of a modified V. The flats boat is a true vee. The bow is flared the hull comes to a a flat sorta edge. This is were US English and AU English become confusing. Can you elaborate on the flat punt thing a little. If it similair to the boat pictured in the new boat post then no its different, I a searching for a bow picture shot right now. If the attached photo is a punt bow then the tinny boat is like that yes. The flats boats bow is like my boat.

Has anyone investigated what it would cost to ship a flats/bass boat to Australia including all port/quarantine costs etc? Ive been considering a Hewes for a long time and have seen some almost new ones going for good prices in Florida on the net.
Ive seen pictures of the Kenner bay boats in the Offshore angler magazine from memory the saltwater arm of Bass Pro stores.
Ive doen the sums on getting a Hewes through the Oz importer and they would work out at least 12K (fully set up) more than a Full Boar or similar lay out in OZ.
