Polycraft 4.55 Livewell Advice

I've been putting off setting up a permanent livewell in my Polycraft 4.55 Centre Console. However with the glenelg ABT approaching I now need to progress this.

Has anyone got doen this on the 4.55 and if so where and how. The storage space is already lacking so any advice would be appreciated.

Howdy

I still haven't heard from anyone who's actually done it in a 4.55, plenty of 4.1's (including mine).

My thoughts would be to get the optional 120L Esky/Storage seat (don't know if you have it) and use that for the job. It may require some tricky plumbing (especially the draining part), although you could always mount a pump on the back of the boat and just run the pipe over the transom and in, draining could be done in a similar way.

We'll have to catch up at Glenelg - what colour did you end up with?

Cheers,

Royal Blue was my color of Choice Dave, my wife wouldn't let me get black (Don't Ask).

I basically figured Id have to pump the water in and out , over the transom. A Pump at the back and a pump inside the well. The piping can be run under the floor.

Does the esky storage seat add additional storage spacee ? or is it just the front 120litre storage bin.

Thanks Dave, the polycraft rear storage/esky "casting deck" is exactly what I need, Ill be able to store the gear I currently store in the front deck at the rear and turn the front into a 120litre livewell. The boys at the poly factory also sent me an article from a boat magazine where some guys done the 4.55 side console.
