WA Hardbody tactics in the East

Here's a question of those WA fisho's that have also fished on the East Coast (and visa versa). How did you find your hardbody tactics go on the East Coast yellowfin? I'm curious to know how much of the west coast preference for hards and the east coast preference for softs is 'cultural' and how much is due to different bream behaviour/different conditions.

To be honest, after fishing Foster, I'd say they are suited better to the YFB than the Blacks. Twitching small hard body lures worked a treat around a lot of the exposed fence posts and pylons where you could get a HB down to the right depth.

I'd love to spend a bit more time on them, but that's just what I've found so far.
