Non-weighted Jigs
I'm thinking of throwing some non-weighted platiscs around. What is a good hook assuming I intend to use 2" grubs?

You can try no4 worm hooks or those new TT hidden weight system jigs (basically a jig hook with a keeper but no jig head).

Those TT HWS jigs look great, I'm trying to get hold of them. Has anyone seen them in stores yet?
Back to the question, I use size 4 Owner worm hooks for unweighted grubs and 2" bass minnows, they work a treat.

Those Eagleclaw's won't be good for grubs as they'll spin.

swoffa they would probably spin in 2" grubs.(any of the aberdeen hooks not just eagle claw) You need the worm hooks to act as a keel to keep them straight
as for the 90 degree aberdeen they are great rigged inside 2" and 3" bass minnows as well as 3" gulp minnows with no weight they are suckers for shallow water bream the gulp minnows cast and sink well without weight The TT HWS(Hidden weight System) hooks have been out for about a week now i have been using them on the Gold Coast since November and they are great cast beside structure and let slowly drift down with subtle twitches. The only shop that i know of with them at the moment is Mossops in Brisbane they will take phone orders ,they should start to be seen in more tackle shops soon Hope this helps boys

Thanks all. I picked up some Gama G-Worm size 4's today which should fit the bill. Unfortunately we've got a 30 knot wind today, so no go with them until this weekend.
