Its alive!!! well

Gday all, been hard at it getting my livewell sorted out for the 2005 bream pro tour and its coming along nicely. All thats left to do now is put the lid on her and it should be sweet. I realise that its probably not in the best spot but as i didnt want to cut into my seat I thought this was probably a good compromise and it can be easily removed as it is just screwed to the floor. All up its cost me about 300 bucks which is pretty good going I reckon.heres a couple of pics

the wiring and hose run up to the front under the gunnel which is nice and neat (I keep my battery under the front cast deck)

here is a closer shot of the well, took me a while to drill and deburr all those holes in the divider plate but it looks a treat.

Scott,
The way you've got it you could almost lift the floor around it with some good framing. Might be worth a though later on. In the mean time, think about coating the ali with a good light replecting paint or even a covering like carpet.

Yeah that spot is a little irritating as you dont have a full floor to move about. The super punt has one in that spot and its really annoying but there was no where else i could have put it for balance.

looks good, but I'd be putting a bit of padding on those sharp corners - they could wreak havok on shins/thighs trying to navigate around it in a bit of bumpy water !
Otherwise looks top notch !
Like Bear Said, would be good to have the front deck run all the way back down each side of the well

thanks for the comments guys, Newbie I got it welded up at a local fabricator here in Harvey he bought the rest of the sheet of ali off me and charged me 80 bucks, i sourced the ali sheet through my work. yeah durko I did think of that but I decided i had more floor to bolt to this way and u can still use either side of the front seat. also as i catrry my battery up the front i thought this way would level the boat out a bit better when full. hopefuuly I made the right decision but if I dont like it I can always change it.

That is a great job you have done on the livewell.

One Question, .........where the overflow line is make sure you dont put to much water in the tank,as when you take off it will all run down the back of tank and maybe spill out. ? Just a thought which i'm sure you have checked. I thought of this because the overflow line is so high up the tank. therefore to change water over it has to be full.

Looks good.

lookin' good!

Hey Scooter,

The live well is coming along quite nicely.

We'll need to bag out on the next trip to give it a good test!

Cheers,
Mark

Hi everyone just an update on the livewell, whacked some carpet around it and put the lid on yesterday. It came up pretty good , I was gonna wrap the carpet around the lid but It would have been to thick as I used 18mm ply so i have just layed it on top. I am gonna try and get some plastic angle if you can get it and put that around the edge of the lid which should neaten it up. I went for a bream in the murray this mornin and unfortunately I blanked so it is still a virgin but I filled it up to make sure everything worked and it was sweet.
