tackle storage
When I started out I bought a couple of small 5 compartment boxes to hold jigs, split shot, sp's etc
Then I moved to a bigger 4000 series box which held everything, but then I read some sps store better when kept in their own bags so now I have 5 or 6 bags of sps in my tackle bag and 1 sml box of hbs (I've already outgrown it lol) and another sml 1 for jigs not to mention what I leave home. Now I'm looking around for a tackle box or bag that can hold everything and make getting to what I want easier. So how do you deal with the continuing increase in tackle and how to store it ??

jarvis walker make a really nice soft sided tackle bag thats not too big ,holds 4 clear plano type boxes that will hold everything you could possibly want to put in it. Its cheap( around 30$). Also has front and side pockets( perfect for storing spools of leader) I t does everything i want it to do and with a nice wide padded shoulder strap you can wear it all day. Definately go the soft sided option!

For my SP's, I use the big waterproof Plano boxes, they're the same footprint as the 3700 but twice as deep. I keep the plastics in the packets.
I use the Shimano lure trays for HB's, the ones that secure the rear treble at the ends so the lures don't tangle up. (this is an old pic from when I didn't have much gear, so please don't judge me... )

My God! You must be a billionaire
!!!!I use a backpack and it's choka block full!!! I keep my HB's in its original pack only because I am trying to learn the names of the lure and can't seem to remember them . And the whole backpack is clogged up with them all over the place, what a mess! The SP is kept in it's orginal pack too inserted in the zip-locked bags and made into a folder. Still trying to figure out a better way of doing it.I also have a separate bum bag with only a selected few of HB, SP and all the accessories I need, for brief fishing only. Do you wheel a trolley around with you?

It's a lot easier when you have a boat to stash it all in while on the water.

Ha! so your admitting your addiction now! to see anglers anomous
![]() On a more serious note I recently brought the new Plano 3337 guide series soft tackle bag. It holds up to seven of the large trays when the bottom has been unzipped to allow more room. The top has hard moldings on both sides which allows you to put your sunnies, phone or camara in it without being afraid they will break. The side pockets hold plnety of crap. You can fit about 3-4 spools in each pocket. Also comes with a pen holder for when you want to report any illegal activity to fisheries. Has a great front pocket perfect for your jig head box to. The best thing about them is the price! there really affordable and look half decent to! cheers, Nathan

Those Guide Series bags are good, they hold 4 of those tall Plano boxes on there ends but they stick out the top so you can't zip it up.
Richo, I knew you'd understand... BTW, it's all kept under tight security.

tackle mania
Swoffa
Nothing wrong with the tower of tackle you have mate. my only problem would be deciding which sp or hb or rod or jig, size, weight etc to use ...... On the up side you must be everyones best mate due to the fact you've tried nearly everything and can give an opinon on tackle to anyone who wants it .... ![]()
