Trolling Motor Size

I have a 2006 Quintrex Hornet Trophy 400 and want to fit a trolling motor on the bow. I'm looking at the Minn Kota range and I know that they come in 48" and 54" legnths. Can anyone advise me what size shaft I should go for please? Cheers.

For a boat that size the you could go either size. If the 48'' is cheaper then that's the go,those extra 6'' would make no difference on the 4m Hornet.
