Rigging Blades

How do you rig your blades for general casting and hopping back along the bottom? By this I mean do you use the front or rear tow point?
I've always used the rear, but talking to a mate the other day, he swears by attaching his line to the front.

Mainly middle as I tend to jig vertically with blades but I also hop them with the middle too.... I've heard front for horizontal or tighter action, middle for vertical jigging and back for wide action ......
