Mounting the MK

When setting up my new MK, the advice was to get it near the centre. Easy, but what about when I crash into things? The first thing to hit is my beautiful new Minn Kota. How tough are they? If I move it way back from the nose will it still perform OK?

If you look at most tinny's they have the bow mount off to the side. I have mine off set and it works fine and still tracks straight.
