It sure looks impressive

If you get some time can you put up some more pic's of your boat on the site.

I love looking at other guys boat setups almost as much as looking in other peoples tackle boxes..........and you can put all those naughty thoughts right out of your heads people !!!

I use Paint Shop Pro - it's got a great resize and optimization function, you don't loose as much quality as some programs

You can send the pics to me if you like and I'll do a resize, just P.M. me and I'll send you the address

If you look at a few of the recent posts (can't remember which forum) there is a free package you can download.

Otherwise, feel free to send them my way as well. bear@aussiebear.com

Here's the one:

http://www.irfanview.com/

It does the job O.K. but can tend to loose a lot of quality if you don't have the settings spot on - at least it's free

I've been using Paint Shop Pro since I asked the same question last week and I like it now, its so much easier (for me) that Photoshop and as Dave said the Image sizing tool is very easy to use.

Don't forget about being able to lighten and darken your images.

look under:

colour\adjust\contrast,brightness

Most good programs also give you a preview of how it's going to turn out before you actually do it - saves using the 'undo' option

Dave,

I rarely fiddle with the settings - I just specify the new size I want. If the image needs editing to improve quality, lighten, darken etc etc, I use Photoshop 7.

I can honestly say that in 18 months or so of use that I haven't been disappointed in the output of IrfanView.

There is lots of free image ehancement software around. Have a look at www.mediachance.com (choose the Free Tools link and then digital camera tools). Some of the stuff in there is magic.

Anyone here with a digital camera should have a look at that stuff - well worthwhile.

Bubble,
First of all you should be using jpg instead of bmp format.

Secondly, when you do the image size is smaller and you can have a 500x? or ?x500 max size image. What I mean is that the max any side can be is 500.

I have attached your image.

Do me a favour and send me the original.
