Hi Folks

Hi Everybody,

Just a quick hello and brief introduction.

I'm another South Aussie who is getting in to bream fishing more and more.

I fish the onk mainly and have been lucky enough to fish with TommyC on one occasion and he helped me get my first bream on SP.

I have developed a passion for fly fishing thanks to another member here, Chuckthrillseek (Chucky), and have fished with him now on quite a few occasions.

I aim to get my first bream on fly this year, and am hoping to have a crack this weekend, weather and babies permitting, but would be interested to know if any of you can help me with my choice of fly.

I've generally used crazy charlies, but am keen to add variety to my arsenal when targetting bream, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Gaffer

Hi Gaffer

Welcolme to the site I am sure you will find out heaps. I am a fly fisherman but only for trout at this stage will try for bream 1 day but having to much fun on the SP,s at the moment. I would start with natrual patterns like shrimps and smelt type flies. Hope all goes well.

welcome aboard Gaff good to see another South Aussie at the Breammaster site, there seems to be a few of us gathering here now, especially since the soft plastics have started to take hold of us SA anglers, can only see it getting better

cheers chucky

Thanks for the welcomes guys, and ignore my request for fly info.

If I'd done a bit of searching before launching into my first post I'd have spotted the section on flies. I got some good info from there, and also know who the people to ask are now.

Oh dear... Tommy C must've got RSI with all the info he typed up helping me on SP's last year, so I guess the fly guys here may well be ducking for cover soon.

G'day gaffer,

Welcome mate, hope you can learn what you want from this site. Post your successes as you go. I've learnt heaps in the few months I've been back.

BTW- I've caught a couple of pisant bream on fly - chartreuse crazy charlies did the job (sz 4 hook).

Cheers,
Brad
