Talking any haswing owners please read

G'day guys n gals, first post so go easy lol

These motors have been out a while now and just looking for feedback from fishos that use them. Everywhere else I've read is only good reviews, and have read that the guys that make them have 40+ years engineering and designing making electric motors, so they seem to boast being a quality product.

Looking at either the 30lb or 40lb tiller steer models for my 2.8m kayak, I have loaded the kayak up with 12kgs of weights and tested in the pool and it still easily handles the weight.
I currently have an 18lb water snake but want a bit more speed. Im running a 45ah AGM battery and I get 4-5hrs fishing on the water and still come back with 80% charge left.
I won't be using it at WOT but would be nice just to have that bit more power and speed in reserve if I have to make a mad dash back to the ramp if a summer storm brews up whilst out on the dam, and thinking ahead for if I upgrade to a larger kayak and bigger battery the motor will still suit that.
Anyways any feedback on this brand of motor would be much appreciated cheers.

G'day,

I just purchased the haswing 2hp tiller model for bass electric fishing, ive only had it for about a month but so far its been amazing. i get a bit over 8kph in a 3.5 tinny with 3 batteries which is better than 4.5kph which i used to get with the 55pd model. It comes with a killswitch that you can attach to you which is a good saftey feature, only drawback ive found is that when you have the motor at full power it vibrates itself so much the killswitch eventually vibrates out and turn the motor off but this is easily avoided if you dont take your hand off it. (this might not affect you with a smaller model electric?)

Anyway hope this info is useful to you, i believe haswing are bringing some new products out soon so keep an eye out as well.

Cheers, Glenn.

Thanks for the reply, so far there seems to be minimal negatives encountered with them.
I managed to get a 30lb tiller steer on flea bay from haswings eBay store for $143 posted, pretty happy with that just awaiting its arrival
