plastic frogs
Hoping there might be some barra chasers on here that could recommend some good brands of frogs both 6" floating and sinking? I plan to try them on cod next season fished off 6/0 & 8/0 Decoy chinlocks. Already have the z man 6" poppin frogs on the list but hoping to try a few others? Cheers

I managed to get a whole lot for a trip to Darwin last year from B.C.F for a couple bucks a pack, they were the Squidgies Boof Frogs - they look durable and well presented for other than colour unfortunately.
Personally I would have liked to get the patterned & Green frog colours above all others. With the weedless hooks, at that time there was no other options other than throw the hook in and hope it holds but now with the chin locks and other ideas, my preference would be to use the TT's bait buttons or get a gasket cutter and a sheet of thin rubber / silicone and make your own buttons (if not slightly larger than available).

Thanks Slamzo, thats very helpful info mate. I will look up the buttons to see if i can replicate them. If my powerball ticket wins tonight i will buy tt gear instead of making them lol

I don't think you can go past the Reaction Innovation Trixie Shark
https://www.reactioninnovations.com/...5&optionid=409 Not the easiest to find in Australia but are dynamite rigged weedless on billabong barramundi. My preferred colour is Green Pumkin White and Shiner. I've also used them as a teaser on cod spinner baits. I've had limited success with this as I don't chase cod and have not put the time into getting it right. |

![]() Poor photo, but these bad boys are bulkier than standard commercial ones. 4" long. |

I have the Keitech frogs and they are heavy, the soft Keitech material means you need to be delicate if rigging weedless as it likes to give way at the 'nose'
