river2sea sheds

gday

ive just been using some river2sea shed 60s on bream and i dont really know why everyone thinks they are so good. Theyre good for casting but they feel really heavy at the end of your line when winding them back in. I dunno if im the only one but im not that impressed with them. They do look good mind u

Hi Cody,
the River2Sea sheds only feels heavy if you wind them in too fast.
If you wind them in just fast enough to get their action going, you will only feel the vibration of their movement and you will catch alot more bream.
I reckon they are the best hardbody lures for bream!!! My old gold River2Sea is really smashed up but it still catches fish.
Cheers!

Actually, I usually just wind them in slowly sometimes with a slight pause when retrieving. (I don't let them float to the surface) If you feel a hit, pause the lure and sometimes you will get another hit as the bream comes back for another go.
IMO the key to fishing this lure for bream is not to wind them too fast. Cheers!
I'm sure others will have their own method of fishing with this particular lure.

sheds

hi there,
i would have to say that they are one of the two best lures in my lure box.
wound dead slow they swim great , the only problem i see with them is that the hooks are brittle and tend to snap on the bend.
other than them the laser pro in gold and black is the only lure that sees as mutch use.
cheers, steve.

i rekon they'r great for the bream and flatties, but the only real problem i have with them is the quality of the paint job on them. The paint 'peels' of easily after a number of fish. But other than that i luv em esp. in the summertime on the flats.

The gold/orange was the no.1 hardbody for me on my last trip to the mid north coast of nsw. Cast close to the rock walls and a couple of twitches straight away, and if you don't get hit then, slowly wind with pauses. They are great!

gday

thanks for the advice guys but phil i disagree with u there as ive smacked mine into jettys and everything without it losing any paint whereas if i did that with any others (which i have) i found the paint came off much easier.
Just my views anyway, yet to catch a fish on one so will wait and see.

cheers

hi there,
Ive got a few differant colours and the paint job on the gold ones seems to fall of while a couple of differant ones seems to last longer
either way they seem to work as good if not better after loosing a bit of paint..
cheers, steve.

yeah it seems it mainly the gold ones.

my mate had a real dodgey one. After one flattie the paint just kept on flaking/peeling eventually the whole back end had completly flaked.
