Repainting blades
G'day,
I have a mate that swears by black blades, yet in my massive collection I have barely any. What's the best way to repaint them to all black? Cheers, Tim

Rattle can 1 part epoxy enamel either Pascol or Kill Rust (Satin or Gloss) after a thorough clean and a quick wire brush with all hardware removed.
That stuff should see them good till they're pinned to a rock below.

This is good info! I use black "sharpie" permanent marker to turn blades black. Black blades are killer on flathead..

nail polish in colour of choice with the hard clear nail polish over it. Move trebles around so they dont stick.

Geneo Kustoms does a great job mate.Give him a pic and hell do the same for you if you have somthing in mind hell strip and repaint.Great way to go through your box and get the tired old lures like new or in a color that you cant or couldnt get.
Hes very easy to deal with. |

Anyway, pulled out an Artline marker I had kicking around and the blades came up great! Picked a couple with fluoro bellys and left that bit untouched. Ill tie a couple up with stingers tonight and chuck up some pics

If you pay more than $10 for a blade you are crazy! $3 blade + sharpie = fish!!

Cheap blades are definitely less painful to lose like the higher end stuff.
Interesting thread with some great advice. Cheers.
