yet another south ozzie

hello, my name is adam and i'm a breamaholic!

hi guys and gals, my name is Adam Todd and i originate from adelaide, south australia.
i've been fishing since the age of two and i enjoy everything about it. i'll fish for anything anywhere anytime and love every minute of it.

i work with another forumite, sarge(aka brad heath), at the sportfishing scene. i have been there for just on 2 years now, and previously worked at the salisbury tackle box for 4 years. so you could say i have a little experience in the tackle trade!
at the moment i don't own a boat, so my breaming is restricted to a handful of landbased locations, my favourite being west lakes which is not far from the city centre.
my biggest fish i have pulled out of there thus far was a 42cm(total length) fish taken on a Ugly Duckling minnow lure. the largest fish i have taken on soft plastic is a smidgen over 38cm, but i seem to get quite a few between 36 and 38cm.
west lakes was closed for almost 2 years due to an exotic weed called caulerpa taxifolia, and was only re-opened in december 2003. the lake is now thriving, and the fishing is better than ever - i have had recent half-day sessions where i have landed up to fifty fish on sp's!
a boat is on my list of things to get, and i am looking forward to the trial event we are having here in august... it should be a ripper!

i think i better go now, it's time to serve some customers!

all the best

adam.

Welcome from another SA ite. It wasnt you being as mad as me early Monday morning throwing lures around West lakes between showers of rain and 50 kph cold wind. It was the only time I could get away from family commitments, left everyone else in bed. Just managed a couple of small fish on HBs. Finally had to stop when I put a hook in a finger and didnt feel it.

bad weather

hey baz

i have found that the really crappy days work the best when fishing hb's in the lake, the fish seem to go crazy. the best place to target the big ones on days like these is next to either of the road bridges. just make sure you keep an eye out for the pain in the butt lake patrol

good luck

adam.

is that right? i've got photo's but i'm the sort of person who isn't content with a 42cm fish, i'll only start flashing photos around when i get a DECENT fish. i have a film to be developed that has numerous fish between 38 and 42cm, and i DO believe that your pb is 38cm and 960grams, i recall measuring and weighing it. oh yeah brad tell everyone how you killed it just to prove you can catch a decent bream. come on young bradley, tell the real story, remember YOU'RE the one we call FOS... full of sh*t
