broken lure bibs

G'day guys,

I recently broke half of the bib off my Laydown minnow. I am very keen to find out if there is any way I could possibly resurrect it, due it being my only one in the BR-74 ( I wasn't happy ). Could it possibly still swim properly? Should I file down the bib? Or, does it need to be retired?

cheers
Sam

Round it off neatly and symmetrically - you may find that it'll just dive shallower...

A picture of a reclaimed Ecogear from somewhere on the net from a few years ago... Knew it would come in handy some day

Just do what Slazmo has done there it still should swim. There's a fair bit of the bib left.

Yeh loop knot (tied as small as possible) or the Pontoon 21 ET Snaps which I've just gotten onto recently - good value and straighten out well above their rated weights. Otherwise what I used religiously was the Decoy 00 Snaps which I found hard to open with my fingers on some days...

Yeah, I use decoys a bit, never fail! I break more by bending them out with my fingers, than by pulling on fish!
