Personally myself I would like to see a ever so slightly heavier than neutrally buoyant model in the Cranka Crab made.

If anyone's seen some crabs around pontoons you will notice that they will swim sideways slowly rather than drop vertically, most hover also just in between frantically trying to get away from open water. A neutrally buoyant model would be right up pontoon / boat throwers alleys IMHO.

The crabs are best fished very slowly on the bottom. If you cast hard up against structure you'll find they'll get hit on the drop as they have a very good action.

Wasn't the best day for Bream today, especially hard fished areas like the docks. Keep at it mate!

I've lost a lot of crabs at the docks so don't throw them much anymore. I prefer strike pro micro vibes for fish holding off the bottom. If I think they are on the bottom I'll usually throw a blade. A crab deadsticked at the base of pontoon pylons can work though.

It's not an easy place to fish - my best sessions come from sighting fish and then getting a micro presented to them without them seeing me.

THanks for your input every1. There no real how to use cranka crabs anywere on the net. Maybe it would be a good thread if someone put up how to on certain lures soft plastics. Im sure there some gurus out there who have good techniques that they might share. I also beleive that the crabs are to heavy also.

Every lure has its time and place including crabs. This is why they may be a tad heavy for docks as the fish there are conditioned to a slow sinking food.

And there is plenty of food in Docklands for resident bream to chase crabs.

However the crabs work really well in other venues on the rock walls and jetty pylons.
