If you want to do a bit of experimenting - little eyes can be picked up for next to nothing on ebay

You could probably just stick them over the top of the existing eyes on your lures without effecting the action too much.

I've been told "superglue" isnt water proof but this brand seems to hold up pretty well underwater. I think araldite is supposed to be more waterproof.

But if you do buy the gorilla brand - I had bad luck with the big bottle - it wouldnt stick on anything I tried. So now I just buy the small metal tubes - they havent let me down

Lures with no eyes work just as well as lures with them, their on lures for fisherman not the fish so go with whatever colour you like.

Colour wise to bream red is black .... So I'd only trial the green eyes and red eyes. No point doing black.

Overall though I'd be surprised if eye colour makes much of a difference.

On the exact same lures? Maybe you're just more confident with red eyes

I regulary paint the eyes on some lures which will remain unnamed with nail polish colour coral and its is quite incredible the response differance to the lure .

In some instances 50% or more to the strike rate than before.

It does not work with cranka crabs leave well enough alone !
