Out chasing some kings on the weekend and when arriving back at the ramp to unload the boat noticed the handle had fallen off my reel never to be seen again. Not sure how it happened as the reel was working fine out on the water. It was sitting in a rocket launcher up top so I can only assume it got bounced and as a result fell off. Anyway $100 to replace new which is not going to happen. Anyone have ideas where I can get another second hand handle or what other models might fit it?

Anyone know of a website where I could pick up a second hand handle?

Take the reel to any busy reel repair shop and they will generally have boxes of unserviceable reels / and parts stripped from previously binned reels. I do not think you will find second hand for sale anywhere. I agree that the new price is a bit on the outrageous side which is typical for the industry as a whole.

Ring Daiwa service direct, you might be surprised what they have lying about. I got a s/h 07 Luvi rotor off them a while back and saved a customer a new reel.

Yep it is a 4500J and the cap is still there screwed on. Looks like a pin might have dropped out or broke looking at a few other daiwa reels I have but they are all smaller sizes.
