Carbon drag Stradic, Curado & Biomaster

Chasing washer thickness for a fb biomaster 4000, curado 200 G7 and fj stradic 5000 so I can buy a sheet of carbontex (or two or three as the case may be).

Anyone know? Or know where I can go to figure this out?

Stradic and biomaster are identical to the naked eye. Haven't tried to pull one out of the curado yet

1 mm sheets from The Down Rigger Shop. That'll fit them.

I think from memory I use 2 x .8mm for the Curados, and .8 for most of the mid size Shimano spinners (I just measure the drag stack every time, but I should write it down somewhere!) 1mm would not make any difference over two washers.
cheers
Steve

Hey Steve.

Are those thicknesses before or after use. Felt washers get thinner with use.

They are mostly used washers, but the carbontex won't crush like felt, so I just stick to that so I don't end up with a drag stack that won't release. The carbontex is allegedly +/- a bit in manufacturing tolerance, and really it's not generally that critical. I have used 1mm before on spinner stacks with no probs I can recall, and certainly you won't have any probs on a Curado.

cheers
Steve

Hey Steve I ordered some digital verniers off ebay to check the thicknesses. An excuse to buy a new tool right Plus they were $6 posted.

I reckon you're bang on at .8mm for the stradic and biomaster. Still haven't pulled the curado ones out. I'll buy a .8mm sheet on the basis that carbon doesn't compress. It'd be easy enough to measure the felt washers at .6mm they compress that easily.
