Hahaha! Good one!

So by the looks of it... with the aid of a bit of photoshoppe and some info from the daiwa facebook page....

1. its not black and gold. I would suggest it will be silver and gold like previous models.

2. there are now holes in the spool.

3. there are now slits in the spool.

4. The handle is the same.

5. the spool has little gold wiggly bits on the top.

6. New drag knob design.

7. Something called ATD which is probably an upgraded version of the UTD (Ultimate Tournament Drag). My money is on Average Tournament drag.

All in all, I think I will wait til spec comes out in Jan before I go one way or another but I would say there will be a few of these come and join casa de Rossco.

Looks like felt and aluminium drag stacks are here to to stay for the long haul...

You'd think by now that they'd design something new for flagship models.

I imagine it's a variable resistance drag. So no manually turning the drag knob. As the fish runs harder the drag probably automatically increases... Just a guess though and based on experience with cycle resistance trainers
