I have a 2004 too and it has been trouble less with every outing. Probably the reel that has caught me the most fish so far.

The JDM Caldia is priced to compete with the JDM Stradic FJ (Biomaster). Out of the two I would pick the Caldia.

Had a 2004 that i sold on. Thought it had a lot of play in the handle and spool for a mid range reel. Functioned fine but felt cheap against luvias, certate and even stradic. I'd look at a stradic or sustain if u need a 4000 size.
