Should I go a 1003 certate?

Hey guys, I'm looking at adding something different to my setups and by now I'm a one eyed certate fan.
I really enjoyed using a stella fe1000 for bream for a few years, can anyone tell me if these are a similar size physically? Especially the spool. I know the certate is way heavier but that's ok.

Can anyone ad any benefits of a 1003 over a 2004?

I'll be sharing the 1003 between a 1-2kg battler waterzombie and a tnsb 2-6lb with some really light .4 pe
Any input good or bad appreciated!
Cheers matt

I am running a 1003 Certate with 4lb Frog on a Battler Mighty Midget for casting light shallow minnows and surface lures on the flats out of the Yak and absolutely love the combo - get smoked on occasions, but it is exceptionally exciting fishing.
Tried a 2004 on the mighty midget and found that the feel and balance was not right, so went to the 1003 and it is spot on for me.
The Water Zombie is 8 inches longer than the Mighty Midget, but there can't be much difference in the weight of the rod, so a 1003 would probably suit well, but 2004 may be fine.
I run a 2004 on the Beowolf and that is a nicely balanced outfit.
Just some thoughts from my Battler / Certate experiences.
Cheers

Cool mate cheers, I have a 2004 on a nightrider ags and a 2004ch I just paired up with a Beowulf too. Both feel perfect for me. The 2004 is just a bit heavy for the zombie I reckon.
Sweet setups you have there mate sounds like were on the same page thanks good info!

The 1003 is 20g lighter. I don't even know if you would notice that. I've only recently got a 1003 Luvito and its a nice little reel, got it on a Deep Throat and it's a nice combo. Running 3lb fluoro on it atm. The 1003 spool takes exactly 100m of 3lb fluoro which is pretty handy.

basically it's good idea to go for 2004ch,which based on 1000 body(so the weight difference is nil) but has a bigger spool.will get a longer cast and less springy line, especially with fc or mono.

Can anyone give me some feedback on braid being used and capacities spooled on their 1003?
Obviously a tiny spool but I've found you can normally fit much more line on a spool than daiwa's recommendations?

Cheers matt
Ps cheers piketronic I do agree with you but I have that reel and love it however I'm after a point of difference in the 1003 especially the 60cm per wind ratio vs the 75 on the 2004ch.

Had a feel of one today, it's an awesome little size and would just go perfectly on that TNSB I sold you!

Jut out of interest, has anyone ever tested the theory that a larger 2000 spool casts further than a 1000 size?

i have 4 1003 reels (certate, exist, luvius) and 5 2004 (steez, exist). i do not notice any difference in the casting difference. I havent cast and measured and no doubt there is a slight increase in the 2004 but unless shore based, move the yak or boat a metre closer and all is good
In saying that i bought my first 2505 the other week and did notice a difference in that over all of my other reels
