Ignis Type R 2505

Hi all. Was looking at purchasing a Ignis Type R it states it's designed for Fluorocarbon lines. My question is can you run braided lines on it? or is it only suited somehow for fluoro lines? and if you ran Braid on it would you somehow not get the casting distance with it or would it not lay the line correctly? I can't see apart from the line capacity between the two as to what difference it would make?
Please enlighten me

Cheers

Go on page 357 of the Show us ya bling thread. Read Koji's comments. From what I've read it should be fine. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't see how a reel designed for Fluorocarbon or PE couldn't be used for one or the other.

The difference is the angle of the spool lip I'm pretty sure. They have images of braid on an ignis in the daiwa catalogue so I think you'll be right

Yeah my thoughts exactly. The only thing I considered was the spool might have been designed differently or something along those lines but most probably just marketed that way as a selling point.

Cheers

Sorry to dig up an oldie, but I'm just wondering how much the Ignis series are retailing for locally and who is stocking them?

Cheers all
