About to buy a kayak was wondering what difference is other then length? This will be my first yak will get used mainly in creeks and bass impoundments. Any thoughts on what 1 to buy would be great

The Pa14 is a little wider than the 12. it has 2 extra rod storage tubes up the front so is also a little deeper.
Other than more room in the front hatch and on the rear deck it should also track a little better in the chop due to its longer length.

14

Agreed...the 14's are just the right size and storage capability...great in a bit of chop to. The savings in $'s isn't worth it. A 14 has just what you need for serious fishing

Smile Love the 12

Bought the pro angler 12 nearly 2 years ago and love it. I thought 14 was just a bit too heavy, slower on the water, and not as well equipped IMHO:-)

I have a Pa12 and love it. Great size and very good to fish out of. I also purchased a Trailer to go with it makes life so much easier.

mate I just went through the same thing this week myself. But with virtually no difference in money on the them and the added items that bjspinner has mentioned I opted for the PA14. I figured regardless which I opted for I was going to make use of a trailer so I went for the bigger of the 2 and nearly ready for its 1st run.

cheers
Jase

2 years ago when you bought it the PA12 was better equipped they share a lot of the parts now.

A longer yak will be faster and the 14 will be more stable being wider than the 12.
Go a 14, I have a 12 myself but the 14 if you can manage it off and on car is just more roomy.

I've had a 14 for over 4 years now...my mate has a 12. I
Now the the new 14s have caught up with the 12 inovations 'd deffo stick with the 14. The only advantage with the 12 is that my mate still manages his on the roof rack whereas my 14 lives on a purpose built trailer. Having said that the 14 is always ready to go because I don't have to skin her down to get it on the roof of the car.

Cheers Paul
