Hi
Does anyone owned either SA30 or SA50? What is the max drag do these reel can applied? I loaded 20lb fireline on 30SA and 30lb fireline on SA50. I would like to know what's your opinion on these reels and fish being caught on these reels? Any comments would be great? |

Yip,
If you get the Saltiga 50 you want to load it with 80lbs braid. Glenn

Fishman: 1) we're talking about the o'head Saltigas, 2) the reason for the manual bail arm closure in the spin series is that it's one less thing to go wrong. Same reason the clutch will only go one way ie. you can't disengage the anti-reverse. Serious reels for fish that mean business... you don't want small parts going wrong!
cheers Chris

Yes, Both spinning and overhead is designed for very serious blue water actions and you can't go wrong with either one. The z6000 has max drag power of 60lb but I think the SA50 has got more power than the z6000 and ligther weight.

Yip, you want the Z series not the standard SA model, they have sealed gearbox and better handle.
The Spinning reel have stronger drag from what I've been told.
