Some Advice!!!

Hi all,
Planning to do some work on my quintrex hornet 435 and need some advice.
I'm thinking of moving both batteries to the front of the boat which weigh 30kgs each, will put them on either side to even the weight/boat out. Were the battery used to sit was next to the bait tank at the back of the boat, Planning to make the whole thing a bait tank now which will carry roughly 40 litres of water. I'm extending the casting deck about 30cm out more for extra storage.
Now do you guys reckon I should put the live bait tank at the front of the boat and the batteries at the back or everything at the front.
The problem is now when I have the battery at the back with the bait tank and I'm on the casting deck at the front the transducers come out of the water and stop reading the bottom. I'll post some pictures soon of the boat and setup.

On the left side at the back is the petrol tank which is about 25 litres.

hey buddy if you are having troubles reading your sounder when at the front then its already too heavy there to be lifting the transducer, i have the same sort of problem with mine and would like to move my leccy battery to the rear but it would need new hatches etc to be cut in to be accesable.

my bet would be put both batteries to the back to get more rear weight there for when on the casting deck, im not sure how big the well is but im guessign its just a bait tank and they usually have a livewell up the front, if u could source one of them if the front hatch is already not plastic then it would be the go but it would put you close to back in same situation of being front heavy when its full

If you look at calculations for shift in centre of gravity on Google you could work out the best configuration. Seems to me like batteries at the back would be the way to go. Also saves you from having to run long live cables

I would extend the back right side to store the batteries in your senario, I made the mistake of putting batteries up the front of my little rig which causes the boat to dig in at full throttle.

I have the same 435 hornet, live well at back was useless so I modified mine like this. See attached pic.
If you want measurements or anything else, let me know. Most of work I did myself (so it wasn't that hard).

Thanks for the reply. Just a couple of questions, you don't think there's to much weight at the front? Does The front of the boat dig into the water when your at full throttle? If you sit at the front does your sounder still read the depth etc? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks.

I have a 50 Honda on the back and the ride on water is good. does not dig in and transducer stays in the water. I carry one battery at the back and two up front, the live well is big and good for tournament fishing
