bearings for RCS handle/knob?

What size bearings fit in the rcs handle and med Eva knob which is on my 3000 certate. I don't have the old bearings as they seized and have literally blown up.
Also where do you get them from? Heard there an online bearing place which sell some which last much longer. I'm sure I read about it somewhere on here

Cheers

not sure on the size, however you could try Jack Erskines in Aus or Boca bearings in the US. Ive bought from boca and found them helpful and postage within 7 days.

Best place I have found is in this link.

Some places claim their bearings are corrosion proof however they are not, have experienced this before however Hedgehog studio have good gear.

The HRCB are the better bearing though more expensive.

I am sure boca bearings have sizes on there for most reels. Just type your reel in.

Bearing and carbon fibre drag washer supplier

Hi
I use this supplier in the US for all my reel bearings and carbon fibre drag washer upgrades. Have found the quality of products excellent and have had no failures in a number of years of using. Good prices and good quality.

Takes a couple of weeks for delivery, so it is best to plan ahead.

It will be most likely a 4x7x2.5, (SMR74-YZZ from Boca) if it is a Daiwa S fit knob. Look here: http://japantackle.com/Tuning_parts/...size_chart.htm
If you can't find one locally PM me as I keep some in stock. Failing that you could send me the handle and I should have one to fit, as the only other one I could imagine would be a 4x7x2. I wouldn't bother getting $$$mega ABEC eleventyseven grade bearings as you are only going to fill them up with grease. Just get cheapest SS bearings. BOCA have SFA listings for Daiwa spinning reels, I usually have to measure to order.
cheers
Steve

Crap bearings from them have used them and they are not suitable to saltwater.

One session in the salt and they where r--ted.

Does anyone know the dimensions of the bearing to fit the "large" RCS comfort knob?

Cheers

Interesting comment - I have used them in upgrading my certate spool shaft and spool support bearings for 5 years now and have never had an issue - fish in salt water exclusively.
Helps if you lubricate the bearings first and rinse your reels in freshwater after use - maybe you have a mantenance and care issue, rather than a product quality issue.

No issue with maintenance, have you put a magnet on them?
First thing I did when they went rough, they where not stainless steel as it is not magnetic unless you buy ferretic stainless which they don't make bearings in that grade.
I actually push grease into my bearings for the handles and spool bearings as it sticks better and the rotating speed is insufficient for grease to have any adverse effect regarding performance.
I actually still have them if you want me to put a pic up of them.
