Deep diving hard bodys

hey guys, im chasing a deep diving hardbody approx. 3m, bibbed minnow style lure that wont cost me an arm and a leg like the OSP Dunk does. Really want to stick with hardbodys over winter and not resort to using plastics like other years.
Any advice is great
Cheers, Ash

Original Shad Rap in 4cm gets down pretty far. To 7ft from memory. Even more with the plastic version. Caught me heaps of bream around pontoons.

Interesting, they don't look like they dive that deep.

Any colours you would recommend Alex?

Cheers

Dilemma 60 in the super deep are a great lure, between them and the dunk but are roughly the same price

Depending on how / where you fish you could rip a 75 Double Clutch down to that depth. Worth a shot . Regards, HBt.

Or the VX35 haha.

Seriously though, don't restrict yourself to "only hardbodies" coz it's cool.

A good bream fisho will use what's working at the time, even if its a plastic.

One lure you could look at is a great cross over lure,
The Skagit Designs Bottom Trank.

It's a hard body that weighs 4.5grams so similar weight to a Vibe but it is a fast sinker with a nice body roll on the drop.
I have fished this lure in many comps in water deeper than 3mts with good tidal flow.
It is best to cast it up current, let it sink to the bottom and roll it across the bottom.
Anyone at the Nelson ABT Hobie event this year will tell you how effective they are as I was landing fish after fish when all around me were finding it slow going.
