Question where to?

Hello guys and girls,
I have been going to places like claremont, fremantle (under the bridge) freo harbour and was wondering what the best spot to go out of these options for either bream flathead or even flounder.
E-shed markets
jojo's
point roe
fremantle bridge
childey point
claremont
or any other spots around this area. I can not go anywhere else outside of this are because I do not have the transport. oh yer and what is the best times to. any response would be great
thanks
Andrew

There is a 2 metre gap at jojos between the boats that is hot for bream at least with bait anyway. I have yet to come down here with sliders but will probably try it tomorrow. Only problem is casting the distance with 1/32 (all I got hey) jigs with accuracy is kind of impossible. The fish here arent overly huge but most of them put up a good fight, the last time a 34 cm bream gave my ugly stik a good workout which was pretty cool

Careful with the restaurant and boats though...Last time I fished was when jojos was closed for renovations so noone was there to complain when I hit things went astray.

Train, Planes and ?????

Guys when I was your age I used to get on a train and go every where. Hell the train crosses over the river in at least 3 places from memory. And what about busses? are you telling me that there is not a bus that goes directly down the canning highway. If you got on to the Transperth website or looked in the whitepages I am sure you will find an Info line or webpage that you cango to for info.
You could even get to Ascott waters, people use public transport to go to the Racecourse and get on the Piss and Ascott Waters is right across from there. Then if you were even more committed you could walk down to Garret rd bridge and fish that area.
It all comes down to how badly you want to fish for bream, Look in your parents road map book and you will find that a train line will just about follow the river and you will be able to get off and walk to a good spot.

It's called two feet and a heart beat lads, grab your mates and do it.

Hey Geoff

Yea I'm not too experienced with public transport, only been on a train and bus only a few times with friends. If I go by myself I might end up in Joondalup! None of my friends are keen on fishing so it would have to be a lone effort.

Besides, I'm not too keen in making such an effort only to find myself flogging dead waters like last week and having to spend another 2 hours getting home. I know you guys have that confidence (and the skill) on scoring a few bream each trip but having yet to break the duck I havent got that luxury.

Andrew1 I was down there from around 7 - 10 mainly after craps. What a disappointing night not one crab..!

I guess it must be hard

I spose I have forgotten what it's like to use public t/port and to walk the bank's now that I have a boat. Still there is fish to be caught but that's the catch you have to try and catch them. This time of year the Bream have moved up stream and people "are" getting them from the shore.
Maybe one day I will get you out on my boat and we can do something about thaT duck.
Regards Geoff

Public Transport in Perth

And if you go all that way and don't get belted by the bream, you'll get belted by the bogons on the train on the way home...You can't lose

Warren.

OH the Bogons

Yeah I used to have kids wag school, to come to my school to smash me!!!!! after one particular train ride. This guy didn't like me cause i used to ride a skate board and he missed about 2 weeks of school waiting outside of mine trying to fight me.
Maybe riding around on public transport is definately not a good idea, I would hate to see a rod snapped in half by a Bogon.
I did fight him and I won gained the respect of all the other bogons and didn't have any trouble after that.
And "NO" i didn't gob off to start it

public transport..

i use it to go virtually everywhere - granted it's a fairly ordinary service, but i can go where ever i have to for less than running a car.. plus i get my reading time in, hehe

oh yeah, and for ascot waters - it's a #36 i think.. it runs about every 15 minutes on weekdays, not sure about weekends
