Night time sweetner
Unlike the spoilt posers of the parramatta river area (that always seem to bag 30 odd bream in a 3 hour session. We here in the middle harbour pittwater area are challenged by very clear water. I am confident in saying that there are probably the same quantity of fish in each area but he ones round our way are very shy and have very good eyesight.
Clear water verses cloudy water seperates the wheat from the chaff!
My mate and I have better results at night, first/last light. We have improved our night sessions by using the celta spoon concept of haveing some fancy coloured material on the rear treble. It doesn't matter what colour obviously, as long as its absorbant. a wee bit of 100% knitting wool works a treat. Next time you get your treble caught in your wolly jumper. don't remove it from the hooks. Dip it in tuna oil or an artificial expensive scent. If can visualise the trail of scent the lure leaves behind then you can appreciate the results. Too much fibre will screw the action though. The scent lasts for around an hour or so. It's amazing what man stumbles across only to find the trash is actually treasure.
