I own several of both the Capricorn 1500A and Stradic 1000, they're both nice reels.
I find the Daiwa a bit heavy for breaming, but it's smoother to fish with than the Stradic. The Stradic is an excellent reel in the 2500 size and up, but just doesn't feel right in a 1000.

I have a couple of spare brand new Sustain 1000FD's to get rid of for a discounted price if you're interested... or anybody for that matter...

The Sustain leaves the Stradic for dead as for as smoothness and drag quality goes, it's much more suited to light work.

Hi,

I have just got a capricorn CA2000. Haven't used it yet but it will get a good workout this weekend.

The drag seems super smooth. The reel ways 9.5oz. Its not light but i reckon it would be fine.

If your keen on the Capricorn (has to be the CA which is last years model) and your not in a hurry to get it. e.g around 2 weeks.

PM me and I have access to brand new ones at a price that may shock you.

I'm asking $350 each, but I'll do better if you buy 2.

Hi,

I have a Daiwa Capricorn CA2000.

It had its first run this weekend. Its NICE!!!!

Real smooth and the drag is good. Someone said they are heavy. I didn't notice it. I know my mates TICA libra is about twice as heavy. in a similar size (not really but enough to notice)
