Shimano Soare BB 2000PGS anyone use one

Hi guys,

I have been looking at some Shimano 2000 shallow spool JDM reels and was wondering if any of the good people on BM have and are using the above reel. I would appreciate any experienced feedback on the reel. I will be using it for yak breamin and looks like a good fit.

I think you will find that the Soare BB is made in Malaysia and not Japan. They are the blood brother of the JDM Soare and built to a lower standard but still a good quality reel for the price.

t curve how can you tell and could you tell me if a fj stradic is Japanese. sorry Bestyac for moving in on your fourm did you see the soare on a japanese ebay? just curious as a lot of makita tools not made in japan

No worries mate. The reel is in fact made in Malaysia as stated on the reel base. I did however buy it from Japan Angler posted from Osaka. I have stradics and they are also made in Malaysia. These reels are all perfect for yak fishing. Really impressed with the little units.

I want one of the soare ci4 + only if it's made in japan tho
But I don't know we're that model is made
